Blow as East Lothian turbine proposals dismissed

Two plans for wind turbines East Lothian have been thrown out after a planning review.

Andrew Wright had hoped to get the go-ahead for two 46 metre turbines at Over Hailes Farm near East Linton which attracted 95 objections, while Janice Laird wanted approval for a 25 metre turbine at St Clements Walk near Wallyford.

Both proposals had been refused by planning officers under delegated powers but the applicants had asked that they be put before councillors at a meeting of East Lothian Council’s planning review body last week.
