Banned from North Berwick pub

A COUNTY man who fought with staff and patrons following a drinking session in North Berwick has been banned from entering the Quarter Deck pub.

Christopher Chalmers met up with a friend and visited several pubs in the North Berwick area before ending up in the Quarter Deck shortly after midnight on 16 December last year.

Chalmers, 4 Windy Mains Cottages, Humbie, was then seen to get himself embroiled in a “heated argument” with several customers.

But attempts to calm the situation led to a physical struggle between several drinkers, staff members and Chalmers, who was eventually removed from the premises.

Chalmers (27) was detained nearby by police shortly after the incident.

Chalmers, who works at a sawmill in Humbie, pleaded guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner by struggling with patrons and attempt to strike them on the body at the Quarter Deck public house in North Berwick on December 16.
