Anger at ‘Tardis’ cash machine in North Berwick

A cash line tardis that has appeared on Quality Street, North Berwick.

The arrival of this Tardis-like cash machine caused an outcry in North Berwick this week.

Now it has emerged that the wrong one was dropped off after planning consent was granted to BT Payphones and the offending box in Quality Street looks set to be removed.

Councillor Tim Day, a member for North Berwick Coastal, said: “I was aware that permission had been granted for a red cast iron

replica phone box containing a cash machine, so I was surprised when this grey ‘Tardis’ appeared in what is a conservation area.”
