Musselburgh Health centre to open

Musselburgh Primary Care Centre will welcome its first patients on Monday as services move into the new £20m building.

All of NHS Lothian’s health services which are locating to the new centre will be operational from next week – including paediatric and adult outpatient clinics, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, children’s services, podiatry, physiotherapy, community nursing and community dental services.

The town’s three GP practices will transfer on a “phased basis” within the next two to three weeks.

David Small, general manager, East and Midlothian Community Health Partnership, said: “It is very exciting to be ready to accept patients into the brand-new Musselburgh Primary Care Centre.
