Fa’side SNP Councillor Kenny McLeod has welcomed the announcement by the Scottish Government to award funding to two local groups in his ward.
Tranent Community Sports Club with Scottish Lawn Tennis Foundation receive £31,350 funding to extend and renew tennis courts with mini tennis lines and install ducting for future floodlighting. And for access to existing public pavilion adjacent to the courts to provide changing, toilets and storage.
Elphinstone School Parent Council receive £5,500 funding for a Trim trail and play equipment to encourage active play.
Councillor McLeod said, “ This is great news and I very much welcome this funding from the Scottish Government for groups within my ward. This money will make a difference and see improved facilities for many. I hope that in time more funding can be found to further improve both these areas and others throughout East Lothian.
