More than 500 children have been given emergency food donations over the past 10 months, according to East Lothian Foodbank.

Figures show that 1632 people, including 514 children, were helped by the charity between June 2013 and March 31, 2014.

More than half of the 886 referrals came as a result of benefit delays or changes, or the refusal of crisis loans.
