Personal debt problems for people living in Tranent are among the highest in Scotland, according to a new report.

The Scotland Debt Report shows that the town recorded 50 cases per 10,000 adults over the past 12 months, placing it seventh of towns with populations over 5,000.

It means Tranent has double the national average of 25 cases per 10,000.
