Children and staff at Sanderson's Wynd Primary have bid an emotional farewell to dinner lady Anne Jack, who has retired after serving up meals in Tranent for over 32 years.
As well as presenting Anne with a picture frame and gift voucher for Marks and Spencer, colleagues held a special tea party at the school.

The popular member of staff, who had previously served dinners at the former Tranent Infant and Tranent Primary schools, also received cards from pupils.

Head teacher at Sanderson's Wynd, Fiona Waddell, told the News that tears had been shed during what was an emotional day at the school.

The now-former dinner lady has pledged to visit the school during her retirement.
