School upgrading

Pupils will return to Innerwick Primary after the summer holidays to upgraded toilets and a new cloakroom area.
Bankton Building Services in Tranent has been carrying out refurbishment work costing nearly £236,000 at the school which was due to be completed this week.

The upgrading has included construction an extension to provide disabled toilet facilities, the partial renewal of roof coverings and window renewal.

The improvement work has been prioritised based on Conditional and Disability Discrimination Act audits carried out on all schools.
