Princes Charles charmed the community of Dunbar during a recent visit to the John Muir Birthplace.

'Sunny Dunny' lived up to its name as the weather stayed fine for the royal occasion during which the Duke of Rothesay chatted to spectators of all ages in the large crowd which had gathered to bid him a fond welcome.

On his arrival at the High Street tourist attraction, where the renowed conservationist John Muir was born in 1838 before emigrating to America as a boy, he took time to speak to the waiting public outside before going in for his tour accompanied by Liz McLean, chairman of the John Muir Birthplace Trust, and birthplace manager Jo Moulin.
