A leading light at Dunbar Day Centre was full of praise for the support she has received as she bowed out after 18 years on its management committee.
Isabelle McCausland paid tribute to the help given from the community, centre members, co-ordinators and volunteers, saying: "I always felt I was tremendously well supported and have had two super co-ordinators.

"You only need to say it's for the day centre and the generosity and willingness to support the day centre is so evident since we started. It was an amazing input from the town.

Mrs McCausland (73), who now lives in Cockburnspath, took over the reins after the death of Molly Keith in 1990.
