The life of St Baldred will become the focus of a North Berwick church, which bears his name, in the months ahead.
The congregation of St Baldred's Scottish Episcopal Church in St Baldred's Road is preparing to mark 1,400 years since his death with a programme of events.

Bishop Brian Smith of Edinburgh will visited St Baldred's on Mothering Sunday, March 2, as patronal festivals are celebrated at St Baldred's and sister church St Adrian's in Gullane.

The 'St Baldred 1,400' initiative will be launched to make people in the church more aware of St Baldred, whose feast is March 6, and to give him a higher profile in the community.
