Television - A Night of Heroes - The Military Awards (Friday, December 14, STV1, 9pm)

What’s It All About? London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark hosts one of the most special awards nights on the calendar. Nicknamed the Millies, it recognises the excellence and sacrifices made by those serving in the British Armed Forces.

Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden are the hosts, while celebrities such as Jeremy Clarkson, Frank Lampard, Mark Cavendish, Andy McNab and Myleene Klass are expected to be in attendance.

Look Out For: This is an easy one - all the heroes and heroines who are in the running to receive awards. It may be a cliché, but even those who don’t go home with a trophy on the night are still winners - there are certainly no losers here.

Schofield says: “A Night of Heroes allows us to pay our respects publicly to some of the courageous and remarkable service personnel who put duty first,” says Schofield. “I feel extremely privileged to be able to play a part in doing that.”
