Roman lecture proves popular
A CAPACITY audience filled St Peter’s Church Hall, Musselburgh, to hear Andy Robertson, East Lothian Council Archaeology Officer, give the first of a trilogy of lectures being run in conjunction with the Roman exhibition currently on display at the Musselburgh Museum.
Mr Robertson gave an informative, amusing and “down to earth” talk entitled “By Trowel and Error,” which gave an overview of recent archaeological excavations in East Lothian.
The second lecture in the series will be given by Dr Fraser Hunter, Head of Later Pre-History and Early History at the National Museums of Scotland, on “Roman Inveresk” in St Peter’s Church on Thursday, February 9 at 7.30pm.
