Radio licence plea is lodged at Ofcom HQ
County MP Fiona O’Donnell last week accompanied East Coast FM team leader Ian Robertson to the Ofcom Headquarters in London to support the community station’s bid for an FM licence.
Mr Robertson and Ms O’Donnell met with Ofcom chiefs and presented more than 90,000 signatures of support and letters from the local community backing the station.
Mr Robertson said: “We have been overwhelmed by the level of support for the station locally.
“The people of East Lothian have been right behind us every step of the way and I wanted to do them justice and go to Ofcom personally to present all the letters and signatures of support we’ve received.”
