Malcolm and Ann snap up nature photo prizes
Malcolm Davidson by Sean Bell.
Duelling insects, a ladybird launching from a leaf and a reflective mountain scene are just some of the striking photographs unveiled as the winners for the sixth annual Nature Photography Awards, hosted by the Scottish Seabird Centre, North Berwick.
Two-hundred and seventy eight entries were received in total and Malcolm Davidson from Dirleton and Ann Jeffray from Gifford each won in two of the most popular categories.
Malcolm won Environmental Impact with his image City Air while Ann came out tops in World Flora with her shot Cone With Clover.
Ann also came second in the Landscape category with her beautiful image Storm over Glen Farrar; Elizabeth Howie from Haddington came third in this category with Lone Cyclist; while East Linton resident Liz Wheelans came third in Creative Visions with Iona Flower.
Malcolm said: “Photography has been a lifelong passion for me and when my photographs were shortlisted for the Seabird Centre’s Nature Photography Awards I really felt like a winner regardless of the final competition outcome.”
