Preston Mill, East Linton

One of East Lothian’s most painted and photographed tourist attractions is getting a £30,000 upgrade.

Historic Preston Mill near the River Tyne at East Linton is to benefit from a brand new exhibition, shop and refreshment area from the spring.

The National Trust for Scotland, which cares for the building, is now looking for stories and milling paraphernalia to help with the project to improve its visitor services at the site.

Manager Rhiannon Naismith said: “This is an exciting project to bring Preston Mill to life for visitors, to improve the facilities and tell the fascinating story of this beautiful place which has played such an important part in East Linton’s life over the centuries.”
