The state of a kitchen at the council-owned Corn Exchange in Haddington, which is used for a pensioners’ lunch club, has been branded “an absolute disgrace.”

A mouldy cupboard, units which were “falling to bits,” and broken surfaces were all highlighted a the monthly meeting of the local community council on Tuesday. Fiona Francis-Adam claimed the kitchen was “an absolute disgrace” and added that she would never make food in there.
