Scaffolding goes up for Town House repairs

The steeple at the Town House in Haddington is to be repaired following recent storms — but not until the summer.

A detailed stonework investigation was carried out and it revealed that some remedial work needed to be done.

In the meantime, short term measures are being carried out to ensure public safety and barriers have been erected to keep pedestrians away from the immediate vicinity of the town centre building which hosts East Lothian Council meetings and other activities.
